Our Story
When I first set foot in Tibet, the mysterious snow-covered plateau seemed to carry a quiet magnetic force that drew me in deeply. I was touched by the devotion and simplicity of the local people. Though life there is not materially abundant, there is honesty, trust, contentment, and a deep sense of happiness in the way people live and connect with one another.
In the years that followed, I returned many times to Tibet and Nepal. Through each encounter with snow-capped mountains, sacred lakes, ancient temples, and monks, I gradually came to understand that peace comes from acceptance. True calm is not about changing life itself, but about learning to settle the mind.
We are not Buddhists, yet we were profoundly moved by this spiritual strength. So I decided to do something — for the local community, and also for ourselves. That is how The House of Kailash was born.
Peace comes from acceptance
Every piece we offer is blessed by monks in local temples. Through these distinctive local accessories, we hope to bring you a sense of peace and good fortune, while also creating income for local artisans. In addition, 5% of every purchase is donated to people in need in the local community, as our way of giving back to the snow-covered land that has nourished our hearts.

"There is no single way of life in this world that is completely right. Sacred mountains and holy lakes are not the destination."
Once, while driving near Mount Kailash, I heard a voice on the radio say: “There is no single way of life in this world that is completely right. Sacred mountains and holy lakes are not the destination. Accept your ordinary self, but never give up your ideals, your faith, or your love for life. We are all on the road, and perhaps what lies at the end has never truly mattered. All we ever have is the present moment.”
